Our Story
I was living with constant pain, migraines, backaches, sciatica, generalized muscle spasms, and carpal tunnel syndrome in both wrists, which made even housework difficult. My doctor mentioned fibromyalgia; I didn't really believe it, even though she was probably right. Whether it was really fibromyalgia or just a body that needed a boost to feel better, one thing is certain: I was in pain, and I wanted it to change.
It was after stumbling upon an article that announced that light therapy would represent a $29 billion market by 2024 that I ordered my first device, skeptical of the product, but mostly driven by a desperate desire to finally be my own boss and leave my job.
My first session lasted 45 minutes, focused on my neck and shoulders. The next day, my wrists no longer cracked. I was speechless. I continued, day after day, and after six months, I resumed the sport I loved: I now play golf, baseball, and ride horses again. Today, I only use my device as needed.
It was this transformation that pushed me to make it more than a personal discovery. I took existing products on the market and improved them to meet my own requirements, for humans, but also for our four-legged companions: horses and dogs.
I didn't believe it myself at first. But I tried anyway, and it worked for me despite my skepticism. Everyone has pain somewhere, a migraine, a tired back, a pain we carry in silence. I want everyone in the world to dare to try Goldride, and dare to feel better again. That's why I want to see Goldride everywhere: in all sports, in all clinics.
A family story
Goldride is not just my story; it has become my entire family's story.
My daughter Sabrina does rodeo, and injuries are common: a fall into a fence after a too-sharp turn that led us to the hospital that same evening, another time trapped under her horse after a stumble, with a bruised shoulder. She also uses Goldride for her migraines. Goldride is now part of her recovery routine.
And then there's Gunnin, our horse. When we got him, he was skinny, barely able to put one foot in front of the other. While we were taking care of him before buying him, we started doing sessions on his shoulder, his back, his feet. After three months, we saw changes. The vet, however, advised us not to buy him; we suspected a shoulder tear, and he reacted strongly whenever we touched him there. But our instinct told us otherwise: he was improving. We bought him. Six months later, we were riding him. A year later, he was doing his first rodeos. After two years, Sabrina was touring all the rodeos in Quebec with him.
My daughter Gabrielle has been playing volleyball for 4 years, and Goldride accompanies her whenever she gets injured. One day, during a tournament in Maniwaki, just after being accepted into a higher-level team, she had a bad fall: cracked rib, sprained foot, two hours in the hospital. A week of complete rest, five 15 to 30-minute sessions on her ribs and foot later, she was back at school and ready to play again, and she continues to use it regularly to maintain her performance.
My partner Patrick lives with repetitive back pain and foot swelling caused by gout. With each flare-up, Goldride helps relieve the pain and swelling.
Each story is different. But in our family, one thing remains true: Goldride is there whenever we need it.
